Barry Cohen, principal of Clifton, NJ-based AdLab Media Communications, LLC, revealed that Adams Media of Avon, MA has purchased the rights to his book, TEN WAYS TO SCREW UP AN AD CAMPAIGN. Jill Alexander, Senior Acquisitions Editor at Adams purchased the title from Cohen. The updated second edition should appear on bookstore shelves in March of 2007.
TEN WAYS originally appeared on Amazon.com, BN.com, Borders.com and other major bookseller web sites shortly after the book's original September, 2001 release. The title has been widely reviewed and excerpted. It has been highlighted in the "Wall Street Journal's" STARTUPJOURNAL.com, Entrepreneur magazine, AdLaw.com, Radio Ink, Radio Business Report, Radio and Records, Creative Times, Whole Foods, Floorcovering Weekly, NJ Business, etc.
Cohen's book has become a training manual for the broadcast advertising industry, with key players including the Radio Advertising Bureau, the NationalAssociation of Broadcasters and Interep, the largest national rep firm in the radio industry. The title guides the smaller company on how to out-advertise its competitors...even when it can't outspend them.
